Gulf Island jam sessions and collaboration for advanced musicians
Musicians for our monthly funk are paid a stipend to cover travel expenses and all meals and drinks are covered and complimentary. As such we are looking for caliber musicians that can play with the overall balance of the group in mind and present a unified sound free of egoist overblowing.

You will find a warm and welcoming musical vibe and have plenty of opportunity to shine or lay back as musician passes are limited per event.

If you would like to stay for the after-session and overnight, there is plenty of room for camper vans or tents, or we can suggest some local accommodation in a wide budget range.

Are you able to listen to the other musicians while playing and improvise based on what you are hearing?

Are you able to self mix your volume on the fly to blend with other jamming musicians? (there is no FOH or Monitor engineer)

Are you able to play with controlled dynamics and reduce or increase your note busyness based on the momentum of the jam?

Are you able to "comp" during someone else's solo by reducing your output or by remaining silent entirely when appropriate?​
